The purpose of reading Quran is to understand it and obey it's commands. It is sunnat to read the Quran but it is farz to obey it's instructions. The Quran contains the commandments of ALLAH. These commandments fall into the following categories: Farz, Wajib, Sunnat (muakida and non-muakida), Mustahab, makrooh (tahreemi, tanzeehi), haraam.
To read Quran and to touch Quran you must have Wudu, sit in a quiet place (because it is a sin to read the Quran loudly and disturb someone who is praying salaat). If other people are in the room they should listen quietly and listen rather than being dis-respectful to the Quran. It is preferable to should say 'Aoozu billahi minashaitaan nirajeem Bismillah hirahmaanir raheem' and to recite the Durood. Also make dua 3 times 'Allah humma rabbe zidney illmaa'. Then read the Quran slowly and with special attention. Since making certain mistakes can change the meaning of words and become a big sin. When you finish reading the Quran say 'sada kalla hul azeem'. |

How we teach Quran reading with Tajweed |

The best place to learn is always the local mosque. Because kids can learn Islam and also build bonds with other kids. This creates happy memories and therefore help retention of the Islamic knowledge gained. In my opinion this is far more important than simple learning. Our aim is to help understand PRACTICAL ISLAM - that is knowledge that can be put into practice. |
| The next best method of teaching is 1 to 1 personal teaching. So the teacher recites and teaches the kids quran reciting. |

We teach Quran tajweed online and we teach live and 1 to 1. To keep the kids attention our classes are only 30 minutes or 45 minutes. |
